Col·lectiu Palestina Resisteix wishes to express its strong opposition to the fixture organized by Lluís Bassat, fundació Ernest Lluch, F.C.Barcelona and Peres Centre for peace. A “Match for peace” on November 29th at 9.30 pm at Camp Nou stadium will feature F.C.Barcelona and a "Peace Team" made up with Israeli and Palestinian players.

Such endeavours are meant to spread the consideration that both parties are on a same footing, while the conflict between Palestinians and the state of Israel is an Israeli liability alone.

We demand our institutions to strongly condemn the state of Israel as it stands in defiance of international lawfully and breaches the Palestinian people's rights to live in dignity. The occupation of the West Bank, the building of the Apartheid Wall, the Judeization of Arab Eastern Jerusalem and the denial of the refugees right of return are but a few examples.

What is more, Israel hinders the Palestinians' free commuting through checkpoints posted at the entrance of every city and throught the apartheid wall. They are also barred from healthcare: stopping people from going to the doctor or not allowing ambulances to cross. There is not either respect to the right to education and work: schools are destroyed or turned into military barracks and whoever needs to access schools, universities or workplace have to face huge trouble because of the wall, curfews and checkpoints.

There is no negotiating between Israel and Palestine, there must be a stop to the Palestinians' reducing their legitimate aspirations, as a nation and to live in dignity.

We demand that such con jobs as November 29th to stop altogether. It is adding insult to injury in the face of the Palestinian people.

No more guilty silence! Isolation of the state of Israel as long as it fails to Human Rights and United Nations resolutions that orders it for instance to withdraw from the occupied territories, to allow the refugees to return and to guarantee the Palestinian people's right to self-determination.
