Since  September 28th, the Israeli armed forces have been engaged in an all-out offensive north of the Gaza strip and it is still going after almost a fortnight. About a hundred dead and about three-hundred injured are reported among the Palestinians. Countless homes, private properties and means of production have been destroyed by the Israeli army in its disproportionate use of air forces, armoured cars and weaponry prohibited by the International Convention of Geneva.

Many civilians are deprived of food, water and first-necessity products due to the destruction of facilities and hundreds of people have no access to medical care as a result of check-point closures.

Internacional observers are in a position to assert that the Israeli army focusses on harming civilians rather than the resistance.

These practices are breaches of the Fourth International Convention of Geneva about Protection of Civilians in Time of War which prohibits the use of force against civilians, the destruction of civil property and collective punishment.

We have to expose that this week, the United States have implemented for the 29th time their veto power to stop the United Nations Security Council take action to put an end to the current events. We call upon the Catalan citizen community and institutions to take a clear and unambiguous stance for the Palestinian people's cause and demand the international isolation of the state of Israel.
